QUANTOMETRIC CHEMICAL ANALYSES (OES)

We carry out quantometric chemical analyses (OES) on iron, nickel (Monel, Inconel, Hastelloy, Incoloy, etc.), copper (brass, bronze, aluminium bronze, etc.), aluminium and titanium alloys
Following the EXCELLENT RESULTS we have obtained in the INTER-LABORATORY CIRCUITS along the years, we can CERTIFY the chemical analyses on your samples and provide you with PRECISE RESULTS thanks to the high number of certified samples (CRM = Certified Reference Material) at our disposal: we currently possess 391 sample, but they are constantly increasing.
Moreover, we contribute to the CERTIFICATION of the CRM samples together with about thirty laboratories WORLDWIDE as the ONLY ITALIAN LABORATORY – and often the only one in Europe.

PMI (POSITIVE MATERIAL IDENTIFICATION)

Through the Optical Emission Spectrometry (OES) we can analyse iron, nickel, copper and aluminium alloys also “on site”.
The instrument can detect even elements, such as C, S, P, B and N, that cannot be easily detectable by using other methods.

HYDROGEN, OXYGEN and NITROGEN (after melting in an inert gas current)

These elements are fundamental for the CLASSIFICATION of TITANIUM alloys, as well as to verify if the steels have been properly treated to reduce the content of oxygen (below 30ppm) and hydrogen (below 2ppm) as much as possible.
When analysing similar (very low) contents or such contents in alloys which tend to absorb them during the production process, like the titanium, the PREPARATION and the METICULOUS CALIBRATION of the equipment with the certified samples proves to be essential.
The meticulous attention to details, which is one of our main characteristics, allows us to provide for excellent service in relatively short time.
The analysis of HYDROGEN, OXYGEN and NITROGEN on TITANIUM alloys is ACCREDIA accredited.
